Q: I'm not a member of NCT. Can I still come to buy?
A: Yes, our sales are open to EVERYONE.
Q: What time do doors open?
A: Doors open at 10.15am if you are a member of the NCT (and have a valid NCT membership card per person entering) and 10.30am for non members. There are two queues which will be signposted.
Q: How much does it cost to enter?
A: We ask for a minimum £1.00 donation per person.
Q: Can I bring children/babies into the sale?
A: Yes, babies and children are free.
FAQs for sellers
Do you wish to sell your pre-loved and nearly new baby and children's clothing, toys and equipment but don’t want the hassle of advertising on eBay/Gumtree or Facebook and can’t face the early mornings and haggling of Car Boot Sales? Then let the NCT sell your items for you! We have a captive audience and promote the sale for you. All you have to do is prepare and label your items and drop them off; we will take care of the rest.
Q: I'm not a member of NCT. Can I still sell?
A: Yes, anyone can sell items at our sales!
Q: Do I just turn up with my goods on the day?
A: No – you must register as a Seller before the event. We will then send you your Seller Number and Seller Registration Pack, which will give you all the info you need.
Q: How many people visit your sales?
A: We regularly get 200–300 buyers at our sales!
Q: Is it like a Table Top Sale?
A: No. At our traditional Nearly New Sales you label and price up your goods, using the labels we send you in your Sellers Registration Pack. You then deliver your items to us the evening before the sale and our lovely volunteers set up the sale. (Clothes are hung on rails and toys, books, etc. are displayed on tables).
Q: What charges are there to sell?
A: Seller Packs of 60 labels cost £2.50 each and Sellers receive 70% of the value of their goods sold – the other 30% goes to the NCT. The money raised goes towards supporting NCT at a local and national level. This payment will be paid into the bank account for which you provided details on registration, within 3 weeks of the sale.
Q: What can I sell? Are there items that can't be sold?

Q: I haven't got a clue where to start re: pricing. Can you help?

Q: What time do I have to drop off and collect my goods at the sale? Can I park easily?
A: There is plenty of free parking on site for Sellers to use. The times are as follows:
- Sellers drop off their items to the sale between 5.45pm and 7.15pm the Friday evening before.
- Sellers collect any unsold items between 1pm and 2pm (see your Seller’s Letter for further details).
Q: I need more Sellers’ labels!
A: Please do not register for an additional Seller’s pack, please email us to have additional pack(s) sent out for your Seller number.
Q: I ordered my pack a week ago and I have not received it yet.
A: We aim to send all packs out within 2 weeks of their registration, however please note this service is run by volunteers who have families and full jobs so please bear with us. If you require your pack in a hurry or haven’t received it a week prior to the sale please email us.
